There was a time when I carried the weight of despair, feeling utterly trapped in a work environment that seemed to disregard my expertise. The instability of my job, compounded by relentless cuts in staff and an exponential increase in workload, left me feeling overwhelmed and hopeless. I lacked the mental space to think, create, and truly engage with my work. Once an irrepressible force of energy, brimming with enthusiasm and pride for my contributions as a senior marketer, I was unrecognisable to myself. I found myself feeling empty, resentful and stuck in a toxic cycle of anxiety and lack of purpose. Feeling the isolation familiar to most senior executives and without guidance, I crossed paths with a remarkable confidant… Becky.
