Purpose of Coaching

Coaching is a collaborative and thought-provoking process designed to support you in achieving personal, professional, and leadership goals.

It is not advice, therapy, or counselling.

Coaching is future-focused and aims to help you build clarity, confidence, and meaningful, sustained change.

When coaching is sponsored by an organisation, the coach may have brief alignment or context conversations with the sponsor and line manager before coaching begins. These discussions focus on the role context and organisational priorities, and do not involve sharing confidential coaching content. Any reporting or reflection on progress happens only with the coachee’s agreement and in jointly agreed review points.

Our Coaching Partnership

What You Can Expect from Me:

  • A safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space to explore your goals, challenges and opportunities.

  • Honest challenge, active listening, and insightful questions to help you find your own answers.

  • Sessions tailored to your needs and preferred ways of working.

  • A professional, ethical coaching aligned with the Association for Coaching (AC) Global Code of Ethics.

What I Expect from You:

  • Commitment to your own growth and learning.

  • Ownership of your progress and willingness to apply insights between sessions.

  • Honesty, openness, and reflection in our conversations.

Ethics & Professional Standards

I am committed to ethical, professional coaching practice and work under regular supervision.

My approach follows the Association for Coaching Global Code of Ethics, which includes:

  • Maintaining strict confidentiality (except where disclosure is required by law or where there is a risk of harm).

  • Acting with honesty, fairness, and respect at all times.

  • Establishing and maintaining clear boundaries.

  • Being transparent about any potential conflicts of interest.

  • Treating all clients equally, irrespective of background, identity, or circumstance.

  • Prioritising your well-being, autonomy and informed choice

Confidentiality

All discussions within coaching sessions are confidential.

No information will be shared with third parties without your explicit consent, unless required by law or where there is an identified risk of harm to yourself or others.

Sponsored coaching and confidentiality

Where an organisation sponsors coaching, confidentiality applies in the same way as for privately funded coaching.

The content of one-to-one coaching sessions between the coach and coachee is confidential. It will not be shared with a sponsor, line manager or organisation without the coachee’s knowledge and explicit agreement.

At agreed review points (for example, midway or at the end of the programme), the coach and coachee will decide together what, if anything, is shared with the sponsor or organisation. This may include progress against agreed coaching goals or next steps, but will not include personal details or confidential coaching conversations unless the coachee agrees.

Information discussed in joint sessions (for example, three-way kickoffs or review meetings) is shared by the nature of the conversations.

Confidentiality may only be broken where required by law or where there is a risk of serious harm.

Session Structure & Fees

  • Sessions will be conducted via video call, phone, or in person (where agreed).

  • Each session will last approximately 60-90 minutes.

  • Coaching is typically provided as a series of 6–8 sessions, spaced 3–4 weeks apart.

  • Fees are agreed in advance and invoiced prior to each session or package.

  • If your organisation is funding the coaching, invoicing and payment will be managed directly with them.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Sessions will start and end on time. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations; late cancellations may be charged in full. This ensures respect for everyone’s time and allows the coachee to maintain momentum.

Commitment to Progress

The coachee remains responsible for their own decisions, actions and results arising through the coaching engagement. The coach supports reflection, insight and growth, and does not direct or manage organisational performance.

While specific outcomes can’t be guaranteed, our partnership focuses on helping you make meaningful, measurable progress aligned with your goals.

You may end the coaching relationship at any time.

I will also discuss with you if I believe coaching is no longer the most appropriate form of support.
